Good Causes And Fund Raisers: Well Done To...

St Albans based charity, Crohn's and Colitis UK have an annual It's A Knockout Challenge at the OA Sports Club, Woollam Playing Fields, Harpenden Road, St. Albans.

St Clare's Hospice in Jarrow will benefit from BIG-hearted South Tynesiders, as they has announced the return of their popular Knockout fundraiser. They will make complete fools of themselves all in the name of charity. Well done everyone!

Roundhegians Rugby Club Leeds was buzzing with people from across the industry competing in the popular Northern Network It's A Knockout competition, which this year raised an impressive £10,267 for the charity.

Each Team Member taking part in the annual It's A Knockout event will donate £60 to the St. Barnabas Hospice, Washingborough. Teams take up the challenge to pit their skills, strength, stamina and ability against competing teams through a series of fun, foamy and inflatable games reminiscent of the 1970's BBC television game show.

Well done to SST for their It's A Knockout challenge in Strathclyde Park which helped raise £1,300 for the St. Andrew's Hospice charity. The day involved competing against other teams in a challenging obstacle course in order to become It's A Knockout winners. And winning is just what they did!

PCs and PCSOs swapped their uniforms for silly outfits to take part in Winslow's big charity It's A Knockout event which raised money for Alec's Angels, a charity in memory Alec, who died last year from a brain tumour. "We think it is a worthwhile cause and we are very keen to do what we can to help raise money for the charity. It is an ideal opportunity to do something for the community."

Sudbury Market Town Partnership and the Sudbury Rotary Club are encouraging more teams to take part in It's A Knockout. "During the event, local voluntary and community organisations can promote themselves, sell goods or run games of their own to help raise funds for their own activities."

FUNDRAISERS pulled out all the stops last weekend to help send a group of sporty students to Australia. Teams of teachers and pupils from St. Wilfrid's Catholic High School in Featherstone competed in the It's A Knockout event to raise cash for the school trip.

It's A Knockout Teams helped raise money for national charity DEBRA at Sandhurst Memorial Park, Bracknell. Money raised at It's A Knockout will support DEBRA, the only national charity exclusively dedicated to individuals and families coping with the genetic and excruciatingly painful skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa.

Journalists and reporters in Yorkshire took part in an It's A Knockout style competition. The contest is based on the classic television BBC games show on giant inflatable obstacle courses, pools of water and gallons of foam. Money raised will help support of Hollybank, a school for young people and adults with complex disabilities.
