£17,500 Knockout Sum Raised For Ex-Footballer
FRIENDS of a former footballer struck down by a debilitating disease raised a staggering £17,500 to help make life more bearable.
Keith Hallway's life was thrown into turmoil when he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2010. At the weekend, friends held an It's A Knockout event at Monkton Stadium in Jarrow, raising £17,500. The money will be used to help buy the specialist equipment the 37-year-old needs to remain independent for longer.
The whole day was fantastic, it was a really fun family day out.
